Meet Montbriand Services, LLC
During my 15-year career as a consultant and Fortune 500 leader, I became an exceptional generalist. My search for new challenges led me through credit underwriting, marketing, product, operations, and Chief of Staff roles. Each position offered a chance to grow and add tools to my leadership kit.
I learned to jump into any problem, function or organizational dynamic, make sense of the current state quickly, and create a plan. I developed strategies to build trust and design a team culture that fosters to collaboration and results. In short, I became a force multiplier.
In 2021, I took a sabbatical. During this break, I re-evaluated my skills and clarified the focus for my next career chapter. The answer was resoundingly clear.
Do the things that you are best at. Play the multiplier role as a Chief of Staff for companies who are reaching the next level of growth.
This clarity led me to form Montbriand Services, LLC. A company that offers Chief of Staff services to business leaders who want their time back to focus on the things they do best.
Experience + expertise = results
What can a Chief of Staff do for you?
Why work with us?
Katie and I worked together as leaders when our organization consolidated several disparate functions and people from vertical organizations into a large, horizontal team. Katie stepped up to create a single, cohesive, engaging culture for the newly formed team.
Katie effectively defined key problems to address, created a planning discipline with clearly stated outcomes and measurable key results, and delivered consistently with high quality. Katie's efforts resulted in over a 25% increase in associate engagement within 6 months, which she achieved while the team was 100% virtual.
Katie proactively develops and drives strategy to solve big problems, with a people first mindset. Her ability to lead a large team through a mutli-dimensional change paid big dividends to the organization, and allowed us to get meaningful business results out of a highly engaged team.
I would recommend Katie for any role where there is a need to create structure and drive outcomes within an uncertain environment, while actively creating a positive culture along the way.
“Katie and I worked together as peers – she was the CoS for my manager. During this time, I learned a lot from Katie about investing in a common identity and culture, building a resilient leadership team and effectively collaborating across shared initiatives. I would highly recommend Katie to any leader looking to invest deeply in building a leadership bench, driving a cultural transformation or increasing team engagement”
What's unique about Katie is that she is a bridge builder. As a true pioneer and visionary leader, she sees a brighter future and how things can be dramatically improved. And yet, she also understands the realities of how things currently work and the constraints that need to be solved for. Katie is one of the few leaders I've experienced who balances empathy and skilled strategy to bring meaningful culture change to life.
Katie truly embodies a 'people-first' approach to leadership and business, investing incredible energy into developing others, both on her direct team and beyond. I was fortunate enough to have Katie as a coach and advisor during our time together at Capital One. Katie's openness and ability to deeply connect enabled her to ask the right questions which helped me know myself better and see situations from additional perspectives. She served as a source of support, recommended useful resources, and encouraged me as I put insights into action. My time working with Katie helped me become a stronger, more confident leader and would be a great choice as a coach!
Katie is a phenomenal leader who focuses on elevating others and understanding human needs to transform organizations and people. She has been a great mentor and coach throughout my entire career, helping me arrive at my own conclusions and perspectives. This is driven by her ability to connect, build empathy and ask powerful questions - allowing me to grow, build confidence and navigate my career. Her coaching has shaped the person I am today. I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with Katie and excited to see her continued impact on others and beyond!

"Katie Montbriand was the Chief of Staff for a divisional leader at Capital One, accountable for more than 1000 employees. Katie’s maturity as a COS is the best I’ve seen in my career. She anchored a team of senior leaders to a higher sense of purpose, mainly to elevate the lives of our customers and associates, while also aligning us toward tangible short-term results.
Katie effortlessly balances assertiveness with kindness, competitiveness with compassion, and fearlessness with humility. During her time as COS, we produced powerful results and had a lot of fun doing it. I highly recommend Katie for jobs as President of a start-up, a C-level leader of an established company, and of course as a COS of a Fortune 100."
